Individual Counseling
I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what you are going through, understand yourself more deeply, and learn tools to cope, grow, and thrive. Whether you are navigating school, relationships, career choices, or figuring out who you truly are, counseling can help you find perspective, direction, confidence, and self-acceptance.
Therapy modalities frequently utilized in my practice include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Solution-Focused Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Narrative Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or deeply upsetting experiences. It works by having the person briefly focus on a troubling memory while following back-and-forth movements, like watching a finger move side to side. This process helps the brain reprocess the memory in a healthier way, so it feels less distressing over time. EMDR may be helpful in the treatment of:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Anxiety and phobias
Depression
Addiction and compulsive behaviors
Grief and loss
Self-confidence and self-esteem
